The home of the Vancouver Canucks, Rogers Arena, is finally getting a much-needed face lift as they announce plans to renovate areas to increase the spectator experience.
With Vancouver Canucks
ticket prices constantly rising making it harder and less affordable for families to go watch their favorite team play in Rogers Arena, the team has taken the initiative to at least make improvements that justify the cost. (Still Doesn't)
«This year was 18% and for next it's 14%,» Canucks season ticket member Rod told Daily Hive about the price increase for his lower-bowl seats in section 119. «So 32% in two years.»
With that being said, the organization ahs taken it upon themselves to make the experience better for fans.
Rogers Arena upgrading seats
The organization has announced that they will be renovating their seats at the end of the season, even inviting season-ticket holders to come and test out the options for the upgrades.
«We are hosting this event earlier in the year compared to previous seasons due to the organization's mission to begin the process of replacing the seats at Rogers Arena immediately following the conclusion of the Canucks season, during which time our team will have extremely limited access to the seating bowl due to construction,» reads the message from the team.
They say the new seats will have more cushioning, cup holders and support a new sleek look.
It is a great thing they are improving this at Rogers Arena, but it still in no way justifies the cost of tickets...
