New Vancouver Canucks Forward Filip Chytil Reportedly Takes Subtle Shot Rangers After Being Traded
After Filip Chytil was traded to the Vancouver Canucks by the New York Rangers for superstar forward J.T. Miller, Chytil may have just thrown a subtle shot at his former team in farewell post.
Forward Filip Chytil is clearly loving the brand new opportunity he is getting with the Vancouver Canucks, getting more ice time than ever before and feeling the trust that head coach Rick Tocchet is giving him.
"I was very happy that I could play that many minutes both games,» Chytil told Daily Hive in an exclusive interview. «In my career so far, I didn't play [as] many minutes like the last two games.»
The more I'm playing, I feel more confident; I feel much better on the puck. It's been good, and hopefully, it's going to keep going like this."
Did Filip Chytil take a subtle shot at the New York Rangers after getting traded to the Vancouver Canucks?
After a career riddled with injuries and inconstant play on the ice, it's obvious why the Rangers were not giving Filip Chytil the biggest opportunity to showcase his talents.
But now being apart of the Vancouver Canucks, he has a chance to rewrite his narrative and get a fresh start to show that he can be an elite player in the NHL.
It is customary to send a message or make a post about your former team after being traded.
Chytil only had amazing things to say about his 7 years with New York, but his final parting words may have caused a little bit of stir with Rangers fans.
«But now, I am enjoying every single minute in Vancouver and can't describe how happy I am to be part of the Canucks organization!»
As members of the media do, they read between the lines or even make things up out of thin air that are not even there, but one new York based outlet decided to leave the 25-year-old final lines of his message out due to it sounding like a jab towards his former team.
Well it could be that Chytil wants it to be well known that he is happy to be out of the Rangers organization, it is highly unlikely that is the case, at least from our perspective.
Sometimes players need a fresh start and it has nothing to do with their feelings towards their former team, just that different opportunities and environments can be better for some, and there is no reason why people should be reading anything into this farewell post.
