NHL issues a statement on the Canucks' star J.T. Miller
The Canucks inked their tumultuous forward J.T. Miller to a 7-year and $56M deal. Following a career-best 99-point season, many analysts believed Miller's best year was behind him. The veteran had other things in mind.
After a 'down-year'' of 82 points in 81 games in 2022-2023, the Canucks' power forward came to play. With three assists and counting, the team's number has finally reached the 100th point in the current season. The NHL stated his outstanding performance:
J.T. HITS 100! 🔵🟢
For the first time in his career, J.T. Miller has reached the 100-point mark in a season!
The Canucks issued a statement of their own welcoming their star forward into the Franchise's 100-points club. Elias Pettersson was the most recent addition to the group (2022-2023). Still, the two current Canucks joined franchise stars such as Henrik Sedin, Daniel Sedin, Pavel Bure, Alexander Mogilny and Markus Naslund.
With career highs in goals (35) and points (100), Miller will now have four games to break his personal best assist total, 67 in 2021-2022. With his performances against the Knights (still ongoing), he has 65.
