The Vancouver Canucks will be without the services of star goaltender Thatcher Demko for the next little while after head coach Rick Tocchet deemed him to be out week-to-week with what's suspected to be another knee injury.

However, despite him not being able to play, possibly not until the Western Conference Final, there's been a positive development on Thatcher Demko.

According to Dan Murphy of Sportsnet, Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko accompanied the team to Nashville for Games 3 and 4 of their first-round series, which are set for Friday and Sunday, respectively.

"He may be week to week, but Thatcher Demko did travel with the #canucks to Nashville." Murphy said.

Losing Demko isn't easy for the Canucks, and with the team will need a morale boost heading into Game 3, having him travel with them to Nashville should certainly help. Even though he's unable to play, Demko's services could be used off the ice, as he'll be able to provide Casey DeSmith and Arturs Silovs valuable advice for the remainder of the series.

Game 3 in Nashville is set for tomorrow, April 26th, at Bridgestone Arena, with puck drop set for 4:30 p.m. PT/7:30 p.m. ET on Sportsnet. Casey DeSmith will be getting the start in goal.
