Even with all of the injuries and absences that have plagued the Vancouver Canucks this season, it is an exciting time as All-Star goalie Thatcher Demko is back with the team and will be backing up Kevin Lankinen for the 2nd consecutive game.
It makes sense to give Thatcher Demko some time to get used to the game day routines, and there is no rush to get his first start as Kevin Lankinen is still playing extremely high level hockey.
The Vancouver Canucks are coming off their big 5-2 to win against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday, and are looking to continue to try and increase their win rate playing at home in Rogers Arena.
Head coach Rick Tocchet plans on going with the philosophy of "if it ain't broke don't fix it", as he has elected to not make any changes to his lineup.

The Vancouver Canucks have struggled to start the game on time and coming out of the gate looking sloppy and not ready to play, and this was perfectly seen in their win against the Blue Jackets.
The Canucks were out-shot 17-2 in the first period, and are looking to turn this trend around this after noon against the Lightning.
