Following in the footsteps of their NHL affiliate, the Abbotsford Canucks are officially heading to the 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs.

On Tuesday night, the Abbotsford Canucks hosted the Manitoba Moose, AHL affiliate of the Winnipeg Jets. The Canucks needed a victory to clinch a spot in the 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs and that's exactly what they did, defeating the Moose by a score of 4 to 3.

With the win, the Abbotsford Canucks have now clinched a playoff spot in all three years since in their move to British Columbia from Utica, New York in 2021.

"We did it y'all! 💪"

"We're in but the hard work is far from over.

See you all in the Calder Cup Playoffs! #ProudlyAbbotsford"

The Abbotsford Canucks have had a solid season so far, currently sitting sixth in the Pacific Division with a record of 35-24-6 through 65 games and only sit three points back of the Tucson Roadrunners, Arizona's affiliate, for second place in the division.

Much like the NHL club in Vancouver, Abbotsford's depth is a huge reason why they've gotten to this point and clinched a playoff spot. They have the right mix of young players and veterans, along with two strong goaltending options in Arturs Silovs (once he's returned to Abbotsford when Demko is healthy) and Nikita Tolopilo.

Leading the way is Linus Karlsson, who currently sits 13th in the American Hockey League in points with 54 (19 goals, 35 assists) in 53 games. Aatu Raty and Arshdeep Bains have also been key offensively, both sitting at 49 points on the season.
