Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes continues to prove that he's one of the best defensemen in franchise history after a strong game last night against St. Louis.

Quinn Hughes is only 25-years-old, but is already one of the best defensemen Vancouver has ever seen, breaking numerous franchise records over the last couple of seasons.

As Quinn Hughes continues his climb to become the Vancouver Canucks' all-time leader in points by a defenseman, he crossed off another milestone last night.
During last night's 5-2 win over the St. Louis Blues, Quinn Hughes picked up a pair of assists and became the first defenseman in Vancouver Canucks history to have 100 multi-point games.
Hughes also became the seventh-fastest blueliner in National Hockey League history to reach that mark, doing it in 410 games, 103 games more than the leader - Hall of Famer Bobby Orr.
"Quinn Hughes became the first defenseman in @Canucks history to record 100 multi-point games." the NHL's Public Relations account on X said.
With the inconsistency in Vancouver this season and trade rumors swirling around some of the team's biggest stars - Elias Pettersson, J.T. Miller and Brock Boeser, it's crazy to think where they'd be without Quinn Hughes.
In 45 games this season, the Orlando, Florida native has 56 points (14 goals, 42 assists), 27 penalty minutes and is a plus-13.
His 56 points have him tied for first in the National Hockey League among defensemen this season with Colorado's Quinn Hughes, while Columbus' Zach Werenski isn't too far behind at 54 points.
With the state of the Vancouver Canucks right now and if they're able to reach the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Quinn Hughes absolutely deserves to be a finalist for the Hart Memorial Trophy.
As mentioned, Quinn Hughes has his sights set on breaking Alexander Edler's record for points by a defenseman in franchise history and only 21 points back of being the new all-time leader.
Vancouver has 33 games remaining in the 2024-25 season and there's no doubt that at some point, likely early March at this rate, Quinn Hughes will be the new franchise leader for points by a defenseman.
