The Vancouver Canucks are on a roll right now, winning two straight and four of their last six and can see their Stanley Cup Playoff odds jump in a big way with a victory tonight.
With the NHL's regular season coming to a close in about four weeks, the Vancouver Canucks have seen their
playoff odds go up and down over the last month.
After a big 6-3 win on Saturday night over the Chicago Blackhawks, with
Arturs Silovs between the pipes for the first time since February 27th and the team jumping into a playoff spot, Rick Tocchet's group has more business to take care of on Sunday as they host Utah Hockey Club at Rogers Arena.
Vancouver Canucks' playoff odds can jump in a big way on Sunday
Tonight's game will mark Utah Hockey Club's first trip to Vancouver since joining the National Hockey League as an expansion franchise
(yes, the NHL considers them an expansion team), following the sale of players and hockey operations staff from the Arizona Coyotes in April 2024.
MoneyPuck has released new data on Sunday ahead of Vancouver's game against Utah which shows that the Canucks, with a win in regulation, can take a big step forward in their hopes of returning to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for a second consecutive season.
However on the other side of things, the Canucks will see those Stanley Cup Playoff odds drop in a big way if they are to lose in regulation to Utah Hockey Club tonight, who are four points back of Vancouver for the second and final wild card spot in the Western Conference entering Sunday's action.
Regulation Win vs Utah: 52.2% (+10.8%)
Overtime/Shootout Win vs Utah: 48.4 % (+6.9%)
Overtime/Shootout Loss vs Utah: 38.9% (-2.5%)
Regulation Loss vs Utah: 30.7% (-10.8%)
