Clip surfaces showing Miller's Defensive effort
J.T. Miller has been putting up big numbers since his arrival with the Canucks. He most recently signed a massive deal that will pay him $56M over the next 7 years.
He's been highly critical of the team's recent lackluster performance and he hasn't been shy to share his thoughts with the media. Everybody is well aware that the reigning issue is the defensive play and Miller didn't fail to talk about it.
The clip from Thursday's game has surfaced and J.T. Miller's not looking good in it, after a power play turnover, the Panthers are seen skating away from their zone in possession. Miller gives three strides before giving up on the back check.
What kind of message does that send to the team, when their top player for the last 3 seasons puts that kind of effort. Perhaps the issue is not the coaching nor the defence, but the effort for it.
