Fan makes trade suggestion to reunite the Hughes' brothers in NJ
Since Elliotte Friedman has revealed that the Canucks only had one untouchable in Elias Pettersson, the Devils' fans have been all over the place thinking there was a chance to reunite the Hughes' brothers.
Some fans even went to the extent of making trade scenarios and one of them has been lighting up internet.
To NJ :
- Quinn Hughes
- J.T. Miller
To VAN:
- Jesper Bratt
- Simon Nemec
- Alexander Holtz
- 2nd Round Pick
- 3rd Round Pick
That's definitely a blockbuster trade that would change the dynamic of both franchise. Bratt is currently the Devils' second scorer behind Jack, speedy forward with great offensive skill. Nemec is last year's draft 2nd overall pick and a right handed defenseman. Holtz is a right winger with a lethal shot. He was the 7th overall pick in 2020, he'll definitely be an offensive threat for years to come. He also added two picks as a sweetener on top of everything.
Hughes and Miller carry hefty AAV's and this could potentially give the Canucks cap room to sign Horvat and Kuzmenko. However, it would entice losing a major piece in the team with Quinn Hughes.
