WATCH: Outstanding defensive play by Quinn Hughes on Connor McDavid
The Canucks took the win home last night, allowing only 2 goals to the powerful Oilers.
For the first time in a while, Connor McDavid was repeatedly shutdown by the Canucks defence and Collin Delia who stood on his head.
A particular play by Quinn Hughes has been going around the internet. Rarely do we highlight defensive plays from Hughes and we're definitely hoping to have more opportunities to do so:
McDavid was crashing the net at high speed and Hughes made a great stick play and never let McDavid take the middle. He even gained full puck possession afterwards.
Hughes has been a constant contributor to the the team's success. If his defensive contribution continues to grow, could he become a candidate to a future Norris contention?
