Game Day Preview: Weird New Lines + Starting Goalie
The Canucks flew to Calgary last night to faceoff with their divisional rival the Flames. They'll be looking to bounce back from their lackluster performance against the Wild last weekend.
As of this morning, it appears that Curtis Lazar will patrol the RW alongside Miller and Horvat. Seems like a weird choice, but Boudreau is trying to spark things up after a 3-0 loss where the offense didn't show up. Kuzmenko was back with Pettersson and Mikheyev, Boeser - Garland - Dries were also reunited and the forward group was completed by Joshua - Aman - Studnicka.
The defensive pairings were back to their original even though Boudreau presented different things yesterday. The main change is that we should expect Burroughs to take Stillman's place.
Dermott, Stillman and Hoglander were the extra skaters.
On the other side of the rink, the Flames are looking to bounce back from their 2-1 OT loss in Montreal on Monday. The two teams have been searching themselves so far this season.
Game Preview:
Former Canuck Jacob Markstrom will be guarding the net for the Flames, he'll most likely be opposed to Spencer Martin for the Canucks. Martin has shown great things in his last game against Minnesota even though he let in 3 goals.
