WOW: Bettman makes statement about the digital ads on boards that's causing reaction
The NHL most recently introduced its famous digital ads on board and Bettman issued a review on them at the most recent board of governors meeting.
He addressed the matter and the reactions have almost been unanimous, causing reactions all over the NHL. He believes that the polls show positive responses.
Though they've been causing bugs on TV all over the NHL and the fans' response to that tweet prove it.
The NHL is trying to bring more revenue and they found a way to increase it with digital ads. The issue here is that the whole TV experience with it is being reduced. Should the NHL really care more about the ads than the actual TV experience, especially since most fans watch games in front of their TV and not in the standings?
