With just eight days left until the NHL's trade deadline, the rumour scene is going into overtime. One of the biggest rumours had the Canucks moving star forward Brock Boeser to the Minnesota Wild.

This was confirmed by Michael Russo of The Athletic, who revealed that Boeser's Agent has been working with the Wild to try to facilitate a trade.

But with so many teams having salary cap issues, can the Wild make this happen and what would the Canucks get in return?

"Boeser to Minnesota can work if Vancouver eats 50% of his salary and a 3rd team eats 25%. Vancouver would need to take Jordan Greenway back, and for arguments sake let's say Calen Addison as well. The 3rd team likely would get a 4th round pick from Vancouver."

That's one possibility, getting Addison and Greenway back in return. Personally I think the Canucks should try to get some type of draft pick as well in this trade, or try to acquire a higher pick with one of those players as they are giving up an elite player in return.
