It seems less and less likely that Horvat will be in a Canucks jersey when comes next season and a new possible trade partner for the Canucks captain was brought up earlier today on Sekeres and Price.

John Shannon was the special guest in today's episode and brought up the idea that the Kraken's GM Ron Francis should give a phone call to Rutherford and Allvin concerning their star centerman. It's common knowledge around the league at this point that the Canucks are asking for an upcoming young centerman, an upcoming right-handed defenseman, and a 2023 draft pick. Though he seemed quite certain about one thing:

''The key thing, anybody that wants to do the Horvat deal. In my opinion, and I've talked to a couple of people about it and it's been justified. Is that if you're going to give the assets the Canucks want, don't you want to have an agreement on principle with Horvat on a new deal?''

Everyone was certain on this one, it would make the utmost sense for the Kraken to pursue Bo Horvat. Shannon states that I'd be a perfect fit for the Kraken as he fixes a lot of their issues and with the team's performance, they deserve the reinforcements down the middle.

The Kraken does have the means to pay the deed to acquire Horvat, they have just sent down their most recent top pick Shane Wright to the juniors. The Kraken still has a 1st rounder in 2023 and no less than three 2nd rounders in the incoming draft. If Kraken were to make a package around Wright and possibly picks, should this be a trade partner the Canucks should consider? It definitely fits in with what they've stated they wanted for their captain.
