LATEST | Bad News for the Canucks and Studnicka
Jack Studnicka was one of the players who we expected to get a better opportunity with the new coaching staff in place and in the game's he's played it's happened, though it appears Studnicka will have to take sometime away from the ice.
Studnicka didn't take part in the matchup against the Devils because of a non-related covid illness.
"Canucks sending Jack Studnicka back to Vancouver. Winger has been non-COVID sick since team reassembled in New York after All-Star break. He required IV Sunday night, slowly improving since. But wasn't going to be able to play on this trip, so headed home to recover."
Studnicka is expected to miss at least the team's next three games. Studnicka was acquired from the Bruins earlier this season and with limited opportunity and most of his time on the team's 4th line, he managed six points in 30 games with the Canucks.
