Earlier this weekend, the Arizona Coyotes were the talk of the hockey world after making Coyotes defenceman Jakob Chychrun a healthy scratch.

It appeared that Chychrun was finally about to be traded after numerous rumors of him going to the Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, Edmonton Oilers, and others, numerous hockey insiders had Chychrun heading to the Los Angeles Kings.

However, after the Kings have informed their prospect defenceman Brandt Clarke it seems that the deal has been placed on hold. Though, Chychrun will be traded and according to ESPN's Greg Wyshynski:

"The Arizona Coyotes have announced Chychrun will remain a healthy scratch indefinitely until he's traded."

Chychrun is the best available defenceman in this year's trade deadline. The 24-year-old has 28 points in 36 games this season along with a sweet contract that pays him just $4.6M dollars annually until the end of the 2024-25 season.

It's not the first time the Kings have taken a run at the young Defenseman, it was revealed today that they had offered Gabe Vilardi along with their 2023 1st Round Selection for Chychrun's services, but the Coyotes didn't flinch from their original ask.
