The San Jose Sharks have been getting plenty of calls with the NHL trade deadline coming up for defenceman Erik Karlsson. The 32-year-old has turned back the clock and looks like Erik Karlsson he was an Ottawa Senator.

The team that's been rumored to have the most interest in Karlsson is the Edmonton Oilers. In fact, numerous Oilers fans have requested GM Ken Holland to find a defenceman that can move the puck, and Karlsson definitely fits the bill.

Oilers Radio Analyst Bob Stauffer even went ahead and listed the offer the Oilers have for Erik Karlsson.

Bob Stauffer, radio analyst for the Edmonton Oilers has said that the Oilers:

''Oilers offer for Erik Karlsson would be their 2023 1st, defensemen Evan Bouchard, prospect Xavier Bourgault (as the 3 1sts), and two contracts, Tyson Barrie to balance out the numbers and another roster player."

Adding Erik Karlsson would definitely make the Oilers a significant threat in the Western Conference. Though this would imply giving up a great developing defenseman in Evan Bouchard, Xavier Bourgault is only in his first professional year, a 1st Round selection in the deepest draft since 2015, and a high-producing defenseman in Tyson Barrie.

It's hard to see this deal actually making sense for the Oilers, but a superstar like Erik Karlsson, matched to Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid would be terrifying, wouldn't it?
