MAJOR | Bruce Boudreau potential candidate to take over one of the NHL's top team
It caused a stir when the Canucks favored Rick Tocchet over Bruce Boudreau mid-season. The reason why wasn't really the reason but it was more about the way things were handled and how Boudreau was terminated.
This story's been covered more than enough times already and Boudreau has already moved on. Teams have already started making their coach firings heading into the 2023 off-season, notably, the Calgary Flames and the New York Rangers.
The latest reports out of New York suggested that Mark Messier, Bruce Boudreau, and Peter Laviolette were potential options for the Rangers.
Boudreau comes as an experienced option as he's been in the league since the 2008-2009 season and may just be exactly what the Rangers need. The Blue Shirts have a line-up filled with superstars and they've come to maturity. With Igor Shesterkin, Adam Fox, Jacob Trouba, Artemi Panarin, Chris Kreider, and Mika Zibanejad who remain on contract, they've still got good years ahead of them.
Boudreau as yet to win a Stanley Cup in his coaching career, are the Rangers the club he needs to get it done?
