MAJOR CONTROVERSY | The reason behind the controversial firing of the Senators' AHL coach revealed
Yesterday the Ottawa Senators relieved their AHL's coach of his duties and since then the conversation surrounding this weird decision as arisen.
Troy Mann was the Belleville Sens' coach for the past 5 years, he's also the team's Assistant General Manager's brother (Trent). David Bell will step into the interim head coach role:
Though, that's not a controversial point. The reason behind his firing will arise conversation around the league and he may never work in an NHL organization because of it.
"Sources saying there were trust issues emerging between the #Sens and Belleville HC Troy Mann. I'm told the straw that broke the camel's back was when Mann gave some of the Ottawa Senators pre-scouting material to another NHL team."
The official statement from the team only states a lack of trust and disparity of thoughts in the team's systems, but the story will certainly develop from there.
