MAJOR | Former NHLer taking shots freely at Auston Matthews
Ryan Withney has grown into a huge NHL personality ever since he retired and grew his podcast along with Paul Bissonette's Spittin' Chiclets.
In today's edition of their podcast, they were commenting on the upcoming second-round matchup that is set to begin tonight between the Panthers and the Maple Leafs.
Bissonette made a statement that will definitely trigger Maple Leaf's fans.
Bissonnette: ''Matthew Tkachuk the BEST AMERICAN PLAYER in the NHL right now''
Withney: ''Matthew Tkachuk is a problem'' While the pair weren't arguing that Auston Matthew's skillset was incomparable, to them Tkachuk has been a force leading the Panthers so far in the playoffs.
This surely is quite the statement to make about these two superstars. The fact that they'll be playing one another in the Stanley Cup playoffs' second round surely is a treat for any hockey fan.
Over the last two seasons, Matthews won the league's MVP and scored 191 points in 147 regular season games. On his end, Tkachuk collected 213 points in 161 regular season games. Out of the two, who's the guy you pick if your season is on the line?
