The Vancouver Canucks made a very surprising pickup Saturday acquiring 23-year-old Vitali Kravtsov from the New York Rangers for Will Lockwood, and a 7th round pick in 2026.

The Canucks are expected to also be moving defenceman Luke Schenn. If the Minnesota Wild can make it happen the Canucks would be trading Boeser to the Wild. However, the Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin might want to be thinking about acquiring a young skilled right-handed defenceman because one's available.

According to The Fourth Period's hockey insider David Pagnotta the Nashville Predators are looking to move defenceman Dante Fabbro.

"I'm told they are looking for young, NHL-caliber ahead of the deadline. They have serious discussions with Nashville about Dante Fabbro as reported and per sources they are also interested in Jordan Greenway of the #mnwild."

Fabbro would fit in nicely if the Canucks could acquire him, he's just 24 years old and was the Predators first round pick going 17th overall in the 2016 NHL Draft. Fabbro is in the same position Vitali Kravtsov was in. He could get the opportunity to become a top line defenceman in Vancouver playing with Quinn Hughes.
