We're now just less than two weeks away from the NHL's trade deadline day. We've already seen some massive trades including the Toronto Maple Leafs' acquisition of center Ryan O'Reilly from the St Louis Blues.

This move was a bit of a surprise with all the rumors that had the Leafs acquiring Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane. The 33-year-old is the biggest fish available at this year's deadline and had numerous insiders claiming Kane was heading to Toronto.

Kane has had plenty of teams calling for his services but according to Hockey Insider David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period:

" Kane said no decisions had been made yet on his future, but Kane downplayed the Leafs as an option.

I think we can definitely count the Leafs out on Kane if they were ever truly in on him to start with. After Blackhawks Insider Charlie Roumeliotis revealed:

"Patrick Kane didn't believe Toronto was a real possibility as a potential trade partner after Kane said, "I think there's a lot of different reports out there and not all of them are true. Gotta be careful what you listen to."

If he opens up on the possibility the Golden Knights have to be considered to be in the running for Patrick Kane. After Mark Stone's injury, the Golden Knights are in desperate need of replacing Stone and Kane could definitely fill that void offensively speaking.
