Power play power
The Vancouver Canucks power play is coming up huge and has been saving their game as of late.
The Canucks have scored on the power play this season nine times, out of the twenty seven games they have played. The team's power play has struck for at least 2 or more goals within those games. This has boosted confidence in the club where if they are down by a goal and they get an opportunity, the chances are pretty good they will strike gold.
Last night's game against San Jose was no exception either, down by one with less than five minutes to go, a slap pass from Pettersson to Kuzmenko tied the game to go to a second straight overtime. They were victorious once again.
The Canucks sit seventh in scoring in the NHL and a big part of that is due to their power play, which sits at 28.1 percent. This, combined with their overall shooting percentage of 12 percent overall, may help overshadow their penalty kill issues, which currently is at the bottom part of the league.
