Earlier this evening, Sportsnet hockey insider Elliotte Friedman broke the news that the New Jersey Devils were working on acquiring San Jose Sharks star forward Timo Meier.
That deal is now 100% official and here's what it looks like. The Devils receive Timo Meier, Scott Harrington, Timur Ibragimov, Santeri Hatakka, Zachary Emond and a 2024 fifth-round pick from the Sharks in exchange for Fabian Zetterlund, Andreas Johnsson, Nikita Ohotiuk, Shakir Mukhamadullin, and a 2023 first-round pick, a conditional 2024 first-round pick.
The Devils have been rumored as the odds on favorites to acquire Meier over the past couple of weeks and tonight they got their man!
