The New York Islanders returned to action from the NHL All-Star break, hosting the Seattle Kraken in UBS Arena. All eyes were on the Islanders Tuesday night as Bo Horvat makes his New York Islanders debut after being traded last week from the Vancouver Canucks.
It didn't take long for Horvat to make a impact with the Islanders. Already up with a commanding 3-0 lead, Islanders star Matt Barzal would set Horvat up with a perfect pass, Horvat would then snipe it upstairs past Kraken goaltender Martin Jones with rocket one-timer.
It looks like Barzal and Horvat have already formed some instant chemistry. That's good news for the Islanders who are still hoping to make the playoffs this season. If the Islanders can get rolling, they definitely have a good shot.
After scoring his first goal, the fans in UBS Arena showed Horvat some love with a standing ovation.
