WATCH | Jacob Markstrom destroys his stick on the bench as he was calling for a penalty on the game-winning goal
The Calgary Flames met with the Dallas Stars tonight and they needed overtime to determine the winner.
Just like any other day of the week, the officiating was once again in the middle of a controversy. Though this time it's actually hard to believe they weren't right.
Jacob Markstrom was asking for an interference penalty since
Roope Hintz did an excellent job of screening the former Canucks' goalie. Markstrom was furious with the play and didn't fail to let everyone know when he threw a tantrum on the bench. Here's the goal and Markstrom's tantrum:
Markstrom and the Flames have been having issues since the beginning of the year, after they were one of the top teams in the league last year, they were previewed to be once again dominant.
However, they are currently battling for a wild card spot sitting 4 points behind the Winnipeg Jets who are the present holder of the last playoff seed.
