The Canucks will have the opportunity to make a fairly high selection with the way things are trending and with the depth of the next draft, whatever rank they pick will award them a great prospect.

Though everybody's talking about Connor Bedard, Adam Fantilli must not be forgotten. Foreseen as the 2nd best player in this year's draft, he currently plays for the University of Michigan in the NCAA's 1st Division. He now counts 47 points in 25 games leading the NCAA as a freshman. Jack Eichel had 71 points in 40 games in his lone collegiate season.

Fantilli was all over Twitter last night and it wasn't because of his production since he was the heart of a line brawl that eclipsed in a game where his team was confronted by Michigan State. Obviously, it was an emotional and intense tilt since it got the better of Fantilli. See the sequence:

It's really to see players drop their mitts at that level of play. The NCAA requires their players to wear full face masks which makes it much more complicated to get it going. Though Fantilli did not hesitate.

Connor Bedard, Adam Fantilli, Leo Carlsson, Matvei Michkov, and Zach Benson are seen by most as the top five picks of this next draft. Will the Canucks lose enough games to snag one of them? Adam Fantilli surely fits the profile, centerman, 6'2'', 187 pounds. Would you like to see him in a Canucks uniform?
