WOW: McDavid throws a tantrum at the referee and the ref gives him reason

Many calls made during the game were questioned by the couch-referees, but one situation stood out in particular. After a great defensive play by the Canucks defenceman, McDavid got back up and absolutely lost it on the referee. Now that's one thing, but a few moments later, the referee felt he owed one to McDavid and awarded one of the weakest slashing calls we've seen this year. Here's the full sequence:

McDavid complains and gets a power lay? Doesn't it feel that lately players have been commanding penalties on demand, perhaps is it privilege you gain once you've acquired the superstar status?
