Wild prospect shoved for 'Abuse of Officials'' in frustration
An unusual moment from the KHL as Wild prospect Vladislav Firstov was given a misconduct for pushing a referee on Tuesday.
The incident happened at the 19:17 mark in the 3rd period as Firstov was shoved along the boards by Vladislav Kara, which forced the winger right into the referee, Alexander Chernyshyov. As Firstov entered the referee, he pushed him forcefully, knocking him off balance.
The referees immediately kicked Firstov out of the game with a match penalty for "Abuse of Offical."
Firstov was a 2nd round pick by Minnesota. The 22-year-old was appearing in his 10th game of the season; so far, he has 5 points. The Torpedos will be without the forward, as a suspension is in play.
