In what seemed to be a bread a butter hockey fight, former Vancouver Canucks forward, & current Laval Rocket Vincent Arseneau brutally breaks his finger, but what he does after i is quite shocking.

During tonight\s (October 18th) matchup with the Laval Rocket and Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League, former Vancouver Canucks forward Vincent Arseneau got into a nasty scrap with Syracuse's Kale Kessey.

After the lengthy bout, it can be seen on the video that Arseneau suffered a brutal finger injury that is clearly broken, instead of skating off to seek medical attention, Arseneau decided to perform "surgery" on himself and pop it back into place... Yuck

Vincent Areseneau Vs. Kale Kessey

This was a shocking moment on the ice for those in attendance that got a good view of it, and while it's certainly not the worst injury we've ever seen on the ice, it was a brutal way to end what was a brilliant fight between two veterans. We may never see either of the players involved in the fight at the NHL level, but they've provided plenty of entertainment in a Friday night AHL clash in a moment that could be highly viewed on social media.

Vincent Arseneau with the Vancouver Canucks

Arseneau is no stranger to fighting in his professional hockey career, but unfortunately, he never was able to showcase his skills with his fists on the NHL stage.

Areseneau is in his 13th professional season and currently plays for the Laval Rocket in the Montreal Canadiens organization. From 2021 to 2023 (2 seasons) he played within our Vancouver Canucks organization for the Abbottsford Canucks.

In 27 games, he scored 13 goals & 8 assists for 21 points, but, did most of his damage in the penalty box and with his physical play. He may not have been a machine offensively, but he managed to rack up 137 penalty minutes in that timeframe.
