First look at Fanatics' NHL uniforms for the 2024-25 season
It's been over a year since the NHL announced that Fanatics would be taking over as their official uniform supplier starting in the 2024-25 season, and we finally have our first look at one of the jerseys.
In a post on social media on Monday, the Washington Capitals shared their 50th anniversary patch. Also, they showed it on a new Fanatics uniform, and there are very few changes compared to the Adidas uniforms.
"First official look at an actual Fanatics branded game jersey here as well. No major changes as reported." Icethetics said.
The most significant change to the Fanatics uniform is the removal of the dimples on the shoulders, a prominent feature of Adidas jerseys, which were introduced in 2017. The shiny NHL shield and collar remain the same from the Adidas era, and while we can't see the back of the uniform, it's safe to say that Fanatics' logo is on the back near the collar.
There's no need to panic for those worried about Fanatics' jerseys for next season and the years that follow. In the first few years of the NHL and Fanatics' deal, the uniforms will be made at the same Quebec-based warehouse that Adidas used.
There will also be three tiers of jerseys available to purchase from Fanatics, an upgrade on the two fans had during the Adidas era, Icethetics reported earlier this year.
"Starting next year, there will be three, according to Icetheticsthe actual authentic on-ice game jersey ($425), the "Premium" jersey ($230), and the "Breakaway" ($175), each designed and branded by Fanatics. Fanatics is also upgrading the practice jerseys, the report says."
We'll have to wait until Friday night, the first round of the NHL Entry Draft, before we look at Vancouver's Fanatics uniforms, but don't expect any significant changes to come.
