Jesse Puljujarvi's Fate with the Vancouver Canucks Has Been Confirmed After Signing PTO

Former 4th overall pick Jesse Puljujarvi has now made a decision for the next chapter of his NHL career after the Pittsburgh Penguins placed him on unconditional waivers.

After it was announced that Jesse Puljujarvi was placed on waivers for the purpose of having his contract terminated by the Penguins, it was reported that the Vancouver Canucks were interested in potentially adding him to their roster, but unfortunately another team beat them to it.
There was rumors that Puljujarvi was potentially planning on going back home overseas to finish his career in Sweden.
But the recent announcement has made it clear that he will be making another push to make it back to the NHL.
The defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers did not waste anytime in showing their interest as they signed the 26-year-old to a professional tryout (PTO).
More specifically, he signed a PTO with their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate the Charlotte Checkers.

In reality, it seems that the Panthers are not putting a whole loft of faith that Puljujarvi is going to be a major contributor to their team.
But rather, they are going to use him as a depth forward as they make another push for the ultimate goal of winning the greatest trophy in sports.
In 382 career games he has yet to prove he is the player that was drafted 4th overall, only netting 57 goals and 70 assists for 127 points.
