LATEST | Arshdeep Bains delivers an emotional interview following his first NHL game
The Surrey BC native finally made it. After a long journey where his talent was barely recognized, Arshdeep Bains finally proved that hard work could go a long way.
The forward played his first NHL game as the team's visited the Avalanche in Denver Colorado. Matched up with Teddy Blueger and Conor Garland, he did quite well, especially as this line was the line who had the most playing time against the Avs' top guns in Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen and Cale Makar.
Bains delivered an emotional post game interview despite the team's loss. Lucky enough for him, his dad was in attendance and they were able to share this moment together. Bains talked about what it meant both for him and his dad:
"He was a little emotional. A little bit of water in his eyes. That's every kids dream to make their dad proud."
