The Edmonton Oilers narrowly defeated the Montreal Canadiens by a score of 3-2 in overtime on Wednesday night. The 18,000-plus fans in the building were treated to yet another sweet feed from Connor McDavid to Leon Draisaitl to seal the game. It marked Edmonton's seventh overtime victory this season.

However, despite grabbing a crucial two points as season's end winds closer, the overtime goal was scored during a power play off of a controversial high-sticking call to Canadiens forward Joel Armia. The four-minute penalty was nearly thirty seconds from expiring upon Draisaitl scoring.

Evidently, many fans for both teams alike had differing opinions on the outcome of the game, as a plethora of Habs and Oilers jerseys were involved in a post-game scrum at Rogers Place:

Edmonton, with three games in hand, trail the first-place Vancouver Canucks by eight points in the Pacific Division. They currently rank second in the division and fourth in the Western Conference with 86 points.
