Patrik Allvin is preparing to move assets in order to give his players the reward they're due. The team has been performing as good as anybody could've hoped or expected and Allvin is looking into the possibility of improving the team, and that may start by unloading assets or perhaps contracts.

UNSUAL GUEST WATCHING THE CANUCKS' GAME

Sportsnet analyst, Dan Murphy, revealed that the Maple Leafs' GM was in the building and watching the Canucks as they played the Buffalo Sabres:

Leafs GM Brad Treliving in attendance in Buffalo to watch #canucks. Driving back to Toronto post game.

The Maple Leafs will also be looking at making additions and there's definetely a few Canucks that could be worth the trip for the Leafs.

One name that automatically comes to mind, Tyler Myers. The Canucks will definitely have to move money if they intend on adding someone else. The Leafs on their end could use his physicality on the back-end.

Perhaps they could be looking at the goalscorer the Canucks have had hanging in the press box a few times? The Leafs have an extremely efficient and powerful offence, but you never say no to the possibility of adding another 30+scorer such as Andrei Kuzmenko.

One thing is sure, sending scouts to watch an opponent game is a common occurence. When the GM takes the time to go out and another team, while his team is playing, means something is in the works and nearing a conclusion.
