REPORT | Canucks will move Tyler Myers: Coming from a former Canucks assistant GM
Patrik Allvin is still working the phones and two Canucks have been involved in loads of trade talks for the latest while. Tyler Myers, about to enter a contract ending-year, has even been linked to the Sharks, but the deal never materialized.
Chris Gear, the former Canucks' AGM, joined the Sekeres and Price show and gave his thoughts on the defenseman's future in Vancouver:
"Tyler Myers will get moved at some point...it's possible that the #SJSharks & #Canucks have already free agreed subject to...maybe they already have a deal in principle...there could be something in the works."
Myers is most likely the piece Allvin needs gone to complete his summer transformation. With a $6M AAV, he'd help the team respect the salary cap, but it would also give them the needed margin to enter the season.
