The Jake Guentzel situation has retained lots of attention of attention through the last week, and even more for the last few days. It was reported that five teams were still in on the last stretch, the Hurricanes, the Golden Knights, the Rangers, the Panthers and the Canucks.
With hours to go before the final buzzer, the Canes caused a shock when they announced that Michael Bunting would be seating for trade related reasons.
Michael Bunting will miss tonight's game for trade-related reasons.
It was confirmed later on that Jake Guentzel had indeed been traded to the Hurricanes in return for Michael Bunting and other assets:
