After what has already been a disappointing year for the Boston Bruins, when Nikita Zadorov signed a six-year, $30 million contract in the offseason after a short tenure with the Vancouver Canucks, no one would have expected this season's outcome.
According to Bruins reporter and The Athletics' Fluto Shinzawa and then a statement issued by head coach Joe Sacco, Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov has flown back to Boston while the team is on their current road trip due to a personal/family matter.
Zadorov has appeared in 72 games this season with the Bruins, Zadorov has four goals, 17 points, 135 penalty minutes, 183 hits, and a plus-14 rating. The 2013 first-round pick joined the Bruins this past off-season on a six-year, $30 million contract.
