MAJOR | Bruins goaltender receives hefty fine for vicious slash
Only on rare occasion do we have the opportunity to witness goaltenders getting involved in brawls, but to say that the Bruins' netminder got involved, shouldn't surprise you.
It marked the first aime in quite some time that a goalie received a fine, especially for a play that went unpunished during the game. Ullmark face the wrath of the DPOS for the first time this season.
ULLMARK FINED FOR A SLASH ON LIGHTNING FORWARD
The Lightning forward Michael Eyssimont charged the net and collided with the Bruins' goalie who didn't take it. Ullmark slashed his opponent and he'll be paying the price as confirmed by the NHL:
Boston's Linus Ullmark has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for high-sticking Tampa Bay's Michael Eyssimont. With the sequence between the Maple Leafs and the Senators, this sequence, it's fair today the NHL Safety Department has been quite busy lately. Do you believe this call was fair?
