MAJOR | Patrick Kane already discussed in trades: Three suitors already made promises
On June 1st, former NHL MVP Patrick Kane underwent hip surgery and was set to miss four to six months as he recovered. On November 28th, he signed a one-year, 2.75 million-dollar contract with the Detroit Red Wings. On December 7th, he made his Red Wings debut and was held pointless.
Despite ultimately choosing Detroit as his next destination after a brief stint with the New York Rangers, it appears as thought Kane had received at least two other enticing offers to join contending teams:
Boston recorded the highest point total in a regular season last year. Pastrnak scored 61 goals in 2022-2023 more than any teammate of Patrick Kane in a single season throughout the course of his career. Vegas entered this season defending a Stanley Cup championship. Meanwhile, Detroit has not made the playoffs since 2016. Kane and company look to end the team's playoff drought, as they currently sit just one point outside of the second wild card spot.
