BREAKING | Patrik Allvin announces the signing of another centerman
The rumours have now been confirmed. As reported earlier this week, the Canucks were still in on Maxime Comtois and the centerman Pius Suter.
Patrik Allvin announced via the team's Twitter account that they had inked the 27-year-old centerman, Pius Suter to a two-year-deal:
''General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the #Canucks have agreed to terms with forward Pius Suter on a two-year contract with a $1.6M AAV.''
Allvin took a safe bet by completing this hire, Suter has shown promises before and even after a down season in Detroit, he is an excellent candidate for a bounce-back season.
After notching 27 points in 55 games in his rookie season, he ended up collecting 36 points in 82 games in 2021-2022 and concluded his deal with the Wings by adding 24 points in 79 outings. Suter will most likely be centering the team's 3rd line.
