LATEST | Allvin just announced roster movement: Bad news for the Canucks?
Following last night's win in Montreal, the Canucks lost a soldier in Carson Soucy when the defenseman left the game after blocking a shot.
ROSTER MOVEMENT ANNOUNCING ANOTHER ONE LATER ON?
Allvin announced today that the team's number 23, Jack Studnicka, had been placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment to Abbotsford:
''General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that F Jack Studnicka has been placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment to Abbotsford (AHL).''
Tocchet stated last night, that they'd be waiting for further testing on the extent to Carson Soucy's injury and that may be an indication that he won't be back for the Canucks' next game.
Sending Studnicka down opens up a roster spot, down to 22, therefore giving them the manoeuvring to call up a left-handed defenseman if needed. One of Akito Hirose or Christian Wolanin could be on their way up to Vancouver.
