As the Vancouver Canucks return to practice for the first time today since the conclusion of the inaugural 4 Nations Face-Off tournament, some concerning news has come out about star players Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson.

Leading up to the first ever best-on-best tournament hosted by the NHL, Canucks captain Quinn Hughes agonized over making the decision to either play or sit out for Team USA, and ultimately, he was too banged up to step on the ice his country.
The same went for Elias Pettersson, except he did play and only now new information is getting released about a potential injury that has affected his play all season and at the 4 Nations.

Quinn Hughes and Elias Pettersson exit practice early amid injury speculation

It has been a tough season for the Vancouver Canucks in many respects, but the one nagging constant are the injuries that keep striking the team, especially their star players.
As the team prepares for their first game back against the powerhouse Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday, they may be with out both Hughes and Pettersson once again as it was reported that they had to leave practice early for undisclosed reasons.

UPDATE:
43, 40 have left the iceas practice ramps up.
Fans were excited after the speculation of Hughes still being injured were increased when he was not medically cleared to participate in the finals when USA took on Canada in the 4 Nations Face-Off finals on Thursday.
But as he stepped off the plane to get ready in Vegas, it appeared everything was all good, except it clearly isn't with this recent development.
Hopefully it is just a precautionary thing in order for him and Pettersson to get some extra rest, but it's not good when two of your best players need to leave the ice.
