The Vancouver Canucks made a big move on Wednesday night, acquiring Elias Lindholm from the Vancouver Canucks to boost their top-six forward group.

Lindholm, who was in the air flying to Toronto for the NHL's All-Star Weekend when the trade happened, talked with the media on Thursday and shared which number he'll be wearing with the Canucks.

According to Henrik Sjoberg of HockeyNews.se, a media outlet in Sweden, Lindholm said he will wear number 23 with the Vancouver Canucks and the reason is because it's the birth year of his son.

"Elias Lindholm will wear number 23 for the #Canucks, his son's birth year. #NHLAllStar" Sjoberg said in a tweet.

Lindholm is set to participate at the 2024 NHL All-Star Game on Saturday alongside his new teammates Elias Pettersson, Quinn Hughes, J.T. Miller, Brock Boeser, Thatcher Demko and Head Coach Rick Tocchet.

As for his Vancouver Canucks debut, that will come next week, on February 5th, as the Canucks kick-off a five-game road trip in North Carolina against the Hurricanes, with puck drop set for 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET.
