LATEST | Canucks make an announcement regarding the Vancouver native Aiden Celebrini
During this year's draft, the Canucks decided to draft in known territory when they used the 171st overall to select the Vancouver Native and Brooks Bandits product, Aiden Celebrini.
In light of their Building Blue feature introducing the team's top prospect, the team highlighted one of their most recent draft picks, Aiden Celebrini. After promising statements from his coach at Boston University, the Canucks shed some light on the reasons why they chose to select him:
«He's a competitor. He hates to lose. And that's something I really like about him.»
This week on #BuildingBlue, get to know Vancouver-born blueliner Aiden Celebrini.
Viewed as a defensive defenseman, Celebrini has all the tools to grow into a modern-day defensive d-man. Standing at 6'01'' and 190 pounds, he's mobile and physical, and his hockey IQ is highlighted in great parts due to his excellent stick play and threat scanning.
Out of the AJHL, where he collected 21 points in 43 games with the Brooks Bandits, he flew under the radar, but expect to hear more from him as he'll be lining up with Boston University in the NCAA's top division. A team featuring high-end prospects such as Tom Willander (2023), Lane Hutson (2022), Macklin Celebrini (2024) and Jack Hughes (2022).
