LATEST | Canucks make an official roster move involving Tucker Poolman
The Canucks announced that defenseman, Tucker Poolman, will be placed on Long Term Injury Reserve (LTIR) as he will not play this season.
The 30-year-old has suffered from concussion-related issues that limited him to only three games last season. The diagnosis is not positive as it is uncertain if he can play in the NHL again.
The Jets 5th round pick in 2013 has been a solid bottom-pairing defender who is excellent on the penalty kill. He signed a four-year deal at $2.5 Million dollars per year. Unfortunately, Poolman has never played more than 40 games in a season with the Canucks.
The Canucks will hope Poolman can get cleared to play next season as for now, he will continue to work through his illness as the team places his contract on LTIR.
