LATEST | Canucks release exciting post on Tom Willander: Shows how good he truly is
The Canucks were really high on Tom Willander, and when they were given the opportunity to draft the Swede with the 11th pick, there wasn't anybody else on their list.
Some analysts called it a �reach'. Some called it a brilliant move as he fits the mould for the perfect player to play beside Quinn Hughes. At the moment, only time will tell whether or not he was the right man for the Canucks.
Willander has size, skates like a wonder and stickhandles like a forward. The Canucks released a new video, in another part of their Building Blue program, that truly showed the full extent of his talent and potential:
"His skating is what stands out. He's got a little bit of a bite to him. He's defensively sound."
Willander will have the opportunity to perfect his craft on a North-American sized rink since he'll be lining up at Boston University. He'll unite his force with the Canadiens' sensation Lane Hutson, whose play resembles Hughes'.
