LATEST | Elliotte Friedman makes a big claim about the Vancouver Canucks
The Vancouver Canucks are off to an incredible start to their 2023-24 campaign and through ten games, have a record of 7-2-1, which has them in second place in the Pacific Division, behind only the Vegas Golden Knights.
Plenty of eyes are on the Canucks after their strong start, including those of Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, who made a big claim on his most recent edition of the '32 Thoughts' podcast.
When discussing how well they've been playing and the contributions they've been getting from their top players, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman said that the Vancouver Canucks are the best NHL team in Canada.
"Friedman on 32T: their best players are their best players every night, so now I proclaim them Canada's best team.
#canucks "
The Canucks are getting contributions up and down their lineup but it's the big names that are stepping up - Elias Pettersson, Quinn Hughes, J.T. Miller and Brock Boeser. For his part, Hughes leads all NHL defencemen in points with 16, while Elias Pettersson has 19 points in ten games, only trailing Jack Hughes who's 20 points lead the NHL.
After a quick trip down the San Jose last night, where Vancouver walked away with a 10-1 win, they'll be back on home ice on Saturday night as they host the Dallas Stars.
