Losing to the National Hockey League's worst team is something nobody wants to do, but unfortunately for the Canucks, that exactly happened on Saturday night.

The Canucks were wrapping up their road trip with a stop in San Jose and it certainly didn't go as the last time when they were at the SAP Center.

Last night, the Canucks fell to the Sharks by a score of 4-3, but one bright spot was the creation of some NHL history by Quinn Hughes and Filip Hronek.

Quinn Hughes picked up an assist during the loss to extend his point streak to 11 games.

What that point, the Canucks became the first team in NHL history to have two different defencemen with point streaks of 11 or more games.

"Quinn Hughes extended his point streak to 11 games and matched the longest run by a defenseman in @Canucks history, a mark teammate Filip Hronek also equaled earlier this season.

Vancouver became the first team in NHL history to have two different defencemen each record a point streak of at least 11 games in the same season."

The Canucks will now return home to take on another California-based team, the Anaheim Ducks, on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET.
